Creating your account

Axiom Booking starts with a 28-day free trial. No card is required to sign up, and no subscription charge is taken until the trial ends.

Two optional services sit outside the trial - see What the trial doesn’t cover below.

Choose Get Started on the Axiom Booking website and create your account. You’ll sign in with an email address and password, or with a Google account if you’d rather.

The email address you use becomes the first administrator of your organisation. You can add colleagues later, with whatever level of access you decide.

Straight after signing up you’re taken to a short setup form - covered in the next article. Your account isn’t usable until that form is completed, so it’s worth doing there and then rather than coming back to it.

Everything is available during the trial. There are no locked features and no usage caps.

You can see where you are at any time under Settings → Subscription, which shows a Free Trial badge and your trial period. If you add a card before the trial ends, billing starts automatically when it expires and there’s no interruption. If you don’t, you’ll be prompted for one when the trial runs out.

Axiom charges £2 per month per active bookable item. A bookable item is either:

• an active space, or
• an active session provider

That’s the whole calculation. You are never charged per booking, per session or per time slot - so a studio running fifty classes a week against three instructors is billed for three bookable items, not fifty bookings.

Spaces and providers you deactivate stop counting, so a seasonal space costs nothing out of season.

There is a £2 per month minimum. If you keep your subscription running with nothing active at all - every space and provider deactivated - you’re billed for one item rather than nothing. In practice that only comes up if you’re between seasons and would rather hold the account than close it.

The trial covers your subscription. It does not cover the two optional usage-based services, which are charged from the moment you use them - during the trial as well as after it:

• SMS - you buy credit in advance and it’s drawn down as you send messages
• Stripe Connect - if you take card payments, Axiom charges 1% per transaction, capped at £0.20. That’s on top of Stripe’s own processing fees, which Stripe charges you directly

Neither is switched on by default. If you don’t enable them, nothing at all is charged during your trial.
