Taking Bookings
Getting Started covered making one booking. This section covers the rest of it: the two kinds of booking, what each field actually does, and what happens when a booking has to change.

The first two are the place to start. The rest can be read in any order, as you need them.
Which article you need
Section titled “Which article you need”The two booking screens look similar and behave differently in one way that matters:

That difference runs through pricing, invoicing and the portal, so it is worth knowing which one you are looking at before you read further.
If you only enabled one module during setup, you only have one of these calendars, and only one of the two articles applies to you.
A note on wording
Section titled “A note on wording”During setup you choose what to call things, and your app then uses your words everywhere - Rooms and Classes, Courts and Sessions, Desks and Appointments.
The writing in these articles uses the defaults, space and session, because it has to pick something.
The screenshots cannot pick anything - they are captures of a real account, and that account happens to call them Rooms and Classes. So a picture here may be labelled “Room” beside a paragraph that says “space”, and a third thing again may be on your own screen. All three mean the same field.
Nothing has gone wrong when that happens. It is worth knowing before you start matching pictures to your own app, because the wording is the one thing that will not line up.
