Getting Started
This section takes you from a brand-new account to your first confirmed booking. Work through it in order - each article assumes the one before it is done.
What you’ll do
Section titled “What you’ll do”- Create your account - sign up and start your 28-day trial
- Set up your organisation - the welcome form: your details, and which parts of Axiom you want
- Add your first space - buildings, then the spaces inside them
- Add session providers - the people or organisations delivering your sessions
- Set up booking types - durations, fees and colours
- Take your first booking - and see the confirmation go out
Steps 3 and 4 depend on which modules you enable in step 2. If you only enable one, you only need one of them.
A note on wording
Section titled “A note on wording”During setup you choose what to call things - you might end up with Rooms and Classes, or Courts and Sessions, or Desks and Appointments. Your app then uses your words everywhere.
The writing in these articles uses the defaults, space and session, because it has to pick something.
The screenshots cannot pick anything - they are captures of a real account, and that account happens to call them Rooms and Classes. So a picture may be labelled “Room” beside a paragraph that says “space”, and a third thing again may be on your own screen. All three mean the same field, and nothing has gone wrong.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”Nothing needs installing - Axiom runs in the browser. It helps to have to hand:
- Your organisation’s name as you want it to appear to customers
- A logo, if you have one
- A rough list of the spaces you rent out, or the people who deliver your sessions
You do not need card details to start. No subscription charge is taken during the trial - though SMS and card payments, if you switch them on, are charged from the moment you use them.
